The Salvation Army’s School of Music program at the Annapolis Corps enriches young lives by offering comprehensive music education to children in the community. The Salvation Army has a  long-standing tradition of using music as a tool for spiritual and personal development. This program provides a nurturing environment where young people can explore and develop their musical talents.

Through a combination of individual lessons, group sessions, and ensemble performances, participants not only learn to play instruments and read music but also gain valuable life skills such as discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. Many school of music students continue on to play these instruments in colleges and university bands across the country after they graduate from our program. 

 

 

 

 

 

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors and community partners, the Salvation Army’s School of Music program is offered completely free of charge to children in Annapolis.
